France reopens visa applications to vaccinated South Africans

We are overjoyed to confirm that France is now open again to travel for fully vaccinated South Africans! (See Atout France’s press release alongside or here.)

After a long period of time during which we were not permitted to visit France, they opened their doors to us again in July 2021. We were saddened when, at the end of November 2021, following the discovery of the Covid Omicron variant, we were, once again, not able to visit this amazing country.

Thus, we are delighted that, as of 05 January 2022, France has decided to throw open its doors to visa applications for fully vaccinated South Africans once again! We really hope that this continues to be the case. We can’t wait to visit again soon. Viva la France!

For detailed information on visiting France and related covid requirements, please visit the Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères website.

Accepted vaccines in France are those which are approved by the European Medicine Agency – visit EMA’s website for more information.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the situation is constantly evolving. All information is correct at time of publishing but is subject to change at any time at the discretion of the French government. Visas are still required, as per usual. If you are travelling, it is crucial that you check on the situation and have all necessary paperwork in order, as British T.I.P.S. cannot be held responsible for failure to travel if passengers have not confirmed and adhered to all requirements.
